Our Breathtakingly Beautiful Boards are each hand made by Dr. Chip Weseloh, internationally renowned ornithologist and lover of naturally resourced crafts.
Composition and Care of Boards
The boards are made from a mixture of native Canadian hardwoods (Maple, Ash, Cherry, Hickory, Black Walnut, Oak) and non-threatened tropical hardwoods (Bocote, Zebrawood, African Padauk, Olivewood, Yellow Tarara, Purpleheart, Wenge).
The boards are easy to care for. They are put together with waterproof glue but do not submerge them in water or put them in a dishwasher. They should be cleaned with a damp cloth. If the board appears to dry out or develop minor cracks, sand the area with 220 grit sandpaper, apply a liberal coat of beeswax salad bowl finish from your local hardware store, let sit for 5 minutes, rub it down with extra fine (0000) steel wool and buff it with a soft bath towel.
Our boards can be ordered by email and paid for by e-transfer.
They will be available for pick up in the Yonge Lawrence area each Sunday by appointment after your e-transfer has been completed.
