BIRDWATCHING FUNDRAISER

Dear Family and Friends,

We, Toronto Grandmothers Embrace, supporting the Stephen Lewis Foundation, invite you to join Andrés Jiménez presenting Birdwatching: Discovering Birds and Finding Happiness in Nature

Andrés is the Urban Program Coordinator for Birds Canada and a host of the podcast The Warbler. He is a frequent guest on CBC radio and has been instrumental in developing the “The Toronto Bird Celebration”. He is well-known for working with the Toronto Public Library, Toronto Parks and several other local organizations offering programs and classes about birds and nature. Our event will offer his incredible visuals and unique insights into everything you always wanted to know about birds but were afraid to ask.

This live Zoom presentation will take place on March 31, 2022 at 7:30 p.m. EDT. A recording of the event will then be available (with your registration) until April 10, 2022.

There is no charge for our event. However, one registration per household is required to obtain your link to the presentation or the recording.

Donations to the Stephen Lewis Foundation’s Grandmothers Campaign are greatly appreciated. All donations of $20 and up will be eligible for tax receipts sent directly to you from the Foundation.

We are very excited about this new program and hope you will partner with us in supporting and promoting it to assure its success. The scope and possibility of not only a national, but an international event is limitless. And amazingly, our presentation platform accommodates up to 500 guests, and even more for the recorded version.

Please help us by sharing this message with your family and friends, all your social media platforms, as well as with your contact lists, local organizations, and any groups to which you belong.

Toronto Grandmothers Embrace has been a proud member of the Stephen Lewis Foundation’s Grandmothers Campaign since its beginning in 2006. The Grandmothers Campaign supports grassroots organizations in Africa helping grandmothers there who, out of love and necessity, are now raising their own grandchildren as well as other children orphaned or made vulnerable by the HIV and AIDS pandemic. All proceeds from our event will go directly to the Grandmothers Campaign to help these amazing women in their initiatives and endeavours to support their families.

We look forward to your participation in our event,

Toronto Grandmothers Embrace
